Oak Alley will remain closed until we complete the process of cleanup from Hurricane Ida . The plantaton grounds has extensive vegetative debris from the storm but the buildings and alley are secure. We appreciate your messages of support during this difficult time for the entire SE Louisiana region. We will update our website when we have more information on re-opening.

Adult and student groups will find the opportunity to explore Oak Alley's complex history through a group visit. Groups of 20 or more are invited to experience Oak Alley Plantation in depth and at discounted prices.

Group admission for Historic Site with “Big House” Exhibit includes the following:

  • Slavery at Oak Alley exhibit with a conversation series taking place daily from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on the hour.
  • Guided visit of the "Big House" exhibit (reserved tour time)
  • Self-paced experience of the Historic Site and highlighted points of interest along with these exhibits:
    • The People of Oak Alley exhibit
    • Blacksmith Shop
    • Sugarcane Theatre
    • The Allée
    • East & West Gardens

It is also important that your onsite escort/guide and driver are prepared for their visit to the plantation.  We have prepared "Tips for Group Visits" to help ensure a memorable visit for our groups.  Please share this information with your drivers and escorts and let us know if you have any questions.
