Summary of transaction: 
On November 3, 1836, Jacques Telesphore Roman originally mortgaged 105 enslaved people to the Citizen's Bank of Louisiana in exchange for 156,000 piasters (1,560 shares). Jacques transferred the mortgage to Valcour. This document denotes the change in the mortgage. Due to amendments made in the bank's charter, the number of shares were reduced to 1,165.
