****Additional information on children:

Francoise has ten documented children: Lezin, Jules, Laviolette, Marie, Pierre, Joseph, Francoise, Eve, Cecile, Josephine, and an unnamed infant. The following information has been discovered on them.

1. Jules, Lezin, and Laviolette are first listed in the 1848 inventory and all survive to the following inventory in 1860. They are listed by as thirty, eighteen, and thirteen (respectively).

2. Lezin is listed as being thirty in 1860. This is a mistake. In 1848, he is listed as being nine years old. By 1860, he should be twenty-one, not thirty.

3. Marie is listed as being one in February of 1840. By the 1848 inventory, she would have been only nine years old, listing her with her mom. She is not mentioned with Francoise or anywhere in the document at all. Because of this, it is estimated that she died before 1848.

4. Pierre is listed in his baptism as being born in 1841. By the 1848 inventory, he would have been roughly seven years old, listing him with his mother. He is not mentioned with Francoise or anywhere in the document at all. Because of this, it is estimated that he died before 1848.

5. Joseph is listed in his baptism as being "a few months" old in 1847. By the 1848 inventory, he would have been listed with his mother. He is not mentioned with Francoise or anywhere in the document at all. Because of this, it is estimated that he died before 1848.

6. Francoise is listed in her baptism as being born in August of 1848, after the 1848 inventory. She should have been eleven by the 1860 inventory and listed as a young girl by herself. She is not mentioned anywhere in the document. Because of this, it is estimated that she died before 1860.

7. Josephine is listed in her baptism as being 4 months old in 1858. A month is not given for either of the baptism or birth dates. By 1860, Josephine would have been roughly two years old. She is not listed with her mother or anywhere in the document. Because of this, it is estimated that she died before 1860.

8. Eve, Cecile, and an unnamed infant are present in the 1860 inventory.

There are no slave sales listing Marie, Pierre, Francoise, Josephine, and Joseph as being sold.
