Summary of transaction: 
Henri Jacques Roman and Marie Octavie Roman Buchanan, as heirs of Jacques Telesphore Roman, their father, jointly sold an enslaved woman, Pognon (age 22), and her daughter, Ida (age 4), at public auction for a purchase price of $1,900. Louis E. Faures was the vendee. Pognon was listed as a "good seamstress, hair-dresser, and house servant."
