Summary of transaction: 
According to an act passed May 28, 1860, the following enslaved woman must be sold at public auction (2nd District Court of New Orleans, no. 744, Henri Jacques Roman vs. Marie Therese Octavie Roman-Buchanan). Thus, Henri Jacques Roman and Octavie Roman Buchanan sold to Sosthene Roman an enslaved woman named Bazile (age 18) for $2,000. Signatures and witnesses missing.
