Fall is the Grinding Season here in South Louisiana! What a magical time it is for the farmers and their families; they finally get to reap the rewards of a year of hard work. Our staff witnessed a local farmer cutting down the field next to our historic property, and we thought we would capture some of it on video, and share it with you.

Video by Doug Pitre, song by John Windsor. This is the Grinding Season, the time of year that the sugar cane farmers harvest their crops. Here is a quick snippet of cane cutting with tractors, revealing the beautiful Big House mansion in the background.
