Oak Alley Plantation welcomed her 5 millionth visitor (yes, you read that correctly- 5,000,000) since her opening in 1976. Today, October 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., Mr. Steven Keene purchased the 5,000,000th ticket.

Upon purchasing the ticket, Mr. Keene, his wife Linda and their 6 guests were greeted by the Director of the Foundation, Zeb Mayhew, Jr., Oak Alley Staff, representatives of the River Parish Tourist Commission as well as Kyle Edminston, Assistant Secretary of the Louisiana Office of Tourism.  After it was announced that he had purchased the 5,000,000th ticket, Mr. Keene was showered with streamers and balloons and received gifts and keepsakes from their special visit to Oak Alley.

Oak Alley is proud to be considered an iconic image of the antebellum south, an image recognized throughout the world, but is most proud of the experience we provide to our guests each and every day.  This milestone is a reflection of the teamwork between Oak Alley's staff, local CVB’s, the Louisiana Office of Tourism and our Lt. Governor, Jay Dardenne, in marketing to and welcoming both domestic and international guests to our region.
